Nursery rhymes, they say, are old legends and stories passed down orally. Well, with all that's happening around us, shouldn't we be modifying them so that they reflect today's stories instead of old irrelevant European stuff? Here are a few of my submissions.
Lalu & Rabri could pay any bill,
As they'd made a pile on fodder.
But Lalu fell down and lost his crown,
And Rabri ruled Bihar thereafter.

But when there's real trouble, count me out.

Superb!!!
I must have made 20 heads turn when I laughed out loud after reading this. I dont know how you manage to better yourself in each and every post of yours! Kudos and keep them coming.
Great rhymes - greater reasons. Change is inevitable. Little Miss Mamata coming soon! Ha ha
lol, hilarious! Was inspired to try my hand at it too:
Rahul, Rahul
Yes Dada,
Scoring runs?
No Dada,
Taking catches?
No Dada,
You should step down
Ha ha ha!
My gosh!! ..you're getting so boring! The wirdplay brand of humor was interesting initially, but its a bit tiresome now. Anyway ....
"Wordplay" in the post above
The person above did not have the galls to leave behind his identity..lol
A-hunting we will go,
A-hunting we will go,
Never mind few or many foe
Or gotta spend a bit of dough
But A-hunting we will go!
A-hunting we will go,
A-hunting we will go,
Without a miss, catch terrorists
Ensure they all cease to exist
Never will we let them go!
Thank you all.
@susa, @indicaspecies, LOL.
@anonymous, oh, I am shattered. But this post is not wordplay. It does have words (esp because I'm not very good with pictures), but there isn't any play. Now if I said, a cowardly rat is an anony'mouse', that would be wordplay :-)
I swear..i will never read ur posts when m in office!!!!! m still LOL.....!!!
lol!crazy lyrics....crazy great if that makes sense....keep em coming..:)n yup the NCERT suggestions shld be taken really seriously...
I like it - an all new series :-)
For someone dealing in nursery rhymes, I suppose feeling shattered isn't such an unfamiliar feeling. Someday you will grow up (I am sure your syco"phans" wouldn't want you to).
anony"mouse" for cowardly rat is indeed wordplay, albeit of a very peculiar kind (Rat and mice are, after all, different species: a distinction that laymen aren't expected to know, but which forms the essence of the play) :) Anyway, I stand corrected.
Wouldn't you agree though, that the grand prize for wordplay goes to indicaspecies above for his coinage, "galls". I suppose it implies a pair of imprudent bollocks. What a gem !
hahaha :D
god only knows why we need a cm :P
haha...too good...gud time 2 put them out too!
wow, ramesh!
you've really got this anonymouse guy goin!
attaboy!
hillarious!
Enjoyable even if a little short and sweet.Do keep adding to it and I'm sure it will have Edward Lear stirring in his grave. Incidentally, I knew a friend in Chennai who could compose a full limerick at the drop of a hat on any given topic. [Ducky, please introduce yourself if you subscribe to this post. I am your old friend Ramnath from Besant Nagar (ramudada@gmail.com)]
MNS Despot?? Oh, I'm still laughing...wonderful one, I enjoyed the last one the most.

gr8 stuff man!!! lolz n more lolz...
u deserve a standing ovation...why dnt u start teaching these to our tiny tots???
Nice one here ramesh. Loved the MNS teapot. My only concern is why allow anonymous comments? If someone cannot own up to what they are saying and be a pussy i think they deserve not to speak at all.
Yuo could post the following rhymes in your next post:
Raju Raju sat on the wall
Raju Raju had a great fall
Balance sheet died
Shareholders cried
Raju Raju made a fraud
and this one:
Raju Raju
Yes baba
Cheating us
No baba
Telling Lies
No baba
Open the balance sheet
HA HA HA
If possible, linkback with credits :P
nice ....
i really think you should get in touch with the various education boards
